The Dubai Open Tennis Academies Championship wrapped up this week with bringing together 151 young players from 17 academies across the country for 170 fiercely contested matches.
Strong Performances Across Age Groups
Held at the Top Spin and Hub Tennis courts, the championship offered competition in multiple age categories—from under-10 to under-18 for both boys and girls. The format provided young athletes with valuable opportunities to test their skills in a knockout environment that mirrored professional tournaments.
Among the standout performers was Ayan Abdel Qader, who won the under-10 boys’ title, with Bert Muniz as runner-up. In the under-12 girls’ division, Oteko Azuki secured first place ahead of Yasmin Iraqi, while the boys’ under-12 title went to Kamel Ritel Benani, with Alec Laro finishing second.
In the under-14 competition, Isabel James clinched the girls’ title with Mayar Rahal in second place. Alex Rafa Aldemaita dominated the boys’ under-14 category, overcoming Mohamed Al Ali in the final.
Aldemaita continued his impressive form by also winning the boys’ under-16 title, defeating Manan Ahuja. In the girls’ under-16, Zenro Jung was crowned champion, with Isabel James as runner-up. Jung then added a second title by winning the under-18 girls’ division, followed by Archibrit Kaur. The boys’ under-18 trophy went to Satvir Sandkumar, with Abdulrahman Al Marzouqi in second.
