Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah set for EMAAR Super Cup
Shabab Al Ahli will wear red and Sharjah white when they meet in the EMAAR Super Cup later this month, after the UAE Pro League confirmed final arrangements for the season-opening fixture.
The match takes place at Al Maktoum Stadium on Saturday, December 27, with kick-off at 7.45pm. Al Nasr’s home ground will host the first piece of silverware of the 2025–26 campaign.
League officials, club representatives, referees, security services and emergency teams met this week to confirm operational details, including kit colours, crowd access and match regulations. If the game is level after 90 minutes, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout, in line with competition rules.
Pre-match duties begin on Friday, December 26, with the official press conference scheduled for 4pm at Dubai Creek Harbour. Head coaches and selected players from both teams will attend, alongside local media.
Both sides will then train at Al Maktoum Stadium in the evening. Shabab Al Ahli are due on the pitch at 6pm, followed by Sharjah at 7.30pm. The opening 15 minutes of each session will be open to the media.
Supporter access routes have also been confirmed. Shabab Al Ahli fans will enter via the main entrance and the gate near the Indian Club, while Sharjah supporters will use entrances close to the Egyptian Club and Leisureland. VIP ticket holders can access the stadium through the main entrance or Leisureland before moving to the main stand.
Inside the stadium, Shabab Al Ahli fans will use Gates 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11. Sharjah supporters will be directed to Gates 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18. Premium seating is split either side of the main stand.
Free parking will be available near the American Hospital. Fans are encouraged to use public transport, including the Dubai Metro and bus services, given the stadium’s central location.
Medical units and ambulances will be positioned around the venue, with luggage storage available near Gates 10 and 14. Fan Zone activities begin at 5.30pm outside the stadium.
Tickets are available only through digital platforms, including the UAE Pro League website, its mobile apps and Platinumlist. No tickets will be sold at the ground.
