More runners, more reach, and a louder message—She Runs returns to Expo City Dubai on November 2 with its biggest edition to date.
The 12th edition of the women-led race is expected to welcome over 6,000 participants, marking a 20% increase from 2024. Organised by the UAE-based Plan b Group, She Runs continues to evolve beyond a traditional run, positioning itself as a year-round platform for empowerment and connection.
Back in August, Yalla Sports previewed the event’s growing ambitions. Now, those ambitions are taking shape across more race categories, deeper community engagement, and a clearer vision for impact.
Participants will have access to four distance options—1km, 3km, 5km, and 10km—ensuring that everyone from elite athletes to schoolchildren can take part. Dedicated tracks for young girls and People of Determination remain at the heart of the event’s inclusive framework.
“She Runs stands out in the UAE’s crowded sporting calendar for its singular focus on accessibility,” said Dr. Harmeek Singh, Chairman and CEO of Plan b Group. “This is a platform for voices, for connection, and for change.”
This year’s theme “For Voices. For Connection. For Change.” was introduced at the official launch at Zinn in Sports City, and now anchors a wider conversation around wellness, equity, and visibility in sport.
Returning to the course this year are the ASICS Front Runners, a group of standout female athletes whose presence gives the race both credibility and inspiration. Among them are Marsha Jane Agpawa Yecla, Khulood Ibrahim, Eden Uy, Valerie Fagerholt-Ramadan, Judy Mahfouz, and Olga Naumova.

She Runs Athletes pass the baton to new community leaders
In a symbolic moment during the launch event, these athletes passed the baton to a new wave of community leaders—women whose stories of personal growth, adversity, and leadership reflect the event’s expanding mission.
One such voice belongs to Coach Susanne, a Dubai-based trainer and former professional dancer. After a career-ending injury, she shifted her focus from performance to fitness education. At the launch, she spoke candidly about rebuilding her identity, and why helping other women reclaim their physical confidence has become her driving force.
“Women need to see themselves represented—not just in gyms, but in leadership roles across the wellness space,” she said.
This year’s She Runs includes more wellness activations, educational workshops, family zones, and a marketplace of female-led brands will transform Al Forsan Park into a hive of activity. Fitness challenges, youth performances, and community talks are also scheduled throughout the day.
These additions build on earlier plans reported in August, where organisers highlighted the creation of a Race Village—designed to encourage engagement before and after the race itself.
Registration for She Runs 2025 is open via the official website. Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join. Whether you’re running for your health, your community, or your personal story, this year’s race welcomes every step.
