Over 20 icy obstacles await daring participants in the 16th edition of the UAE’s toughest snow race
Ski Dubai is set to welcome hundreds of adrenaline-seekers on Sunday, September 14, as the 16th Ice Warrior Challenge takes over the slopes of the Mall of the Emirates’ indoor ski resort. The annual endurance event has become one of the region’s most demanding winter-themed challenges — and this year is expected to draw its largest crowd yet.
With record-breaking registration numbers, organisers are urging participants to register via Premier Online before the September 12 deadline, as remaining spots are limited.
An Obstacle Gauntlet in Sub-Zero Conditions
More than 20 ice and snow-based obstacles will line the course, pushing competitors through physical challenges such as rope wall climbs, icy water swims, monkey bars, net crawls, and steep ramp ascents.
Each obstacle challenges strength, agility, and coordination in -4°C conditions inside the snow park.

Global Participation in a Unique Venue
Open to participants aged 15 to 60, the Ice Warrior Challenge draws athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and newcomers from across the UAE and around the world. The previous edition hosted over 600 competitors from 70 countries, and organisers anticipate even greater turnout this year.
The course gives participants the chance to test fitness, strengthen team dynamics, and compete in one of the Middle East’s most distinctive sports venues.
Race Categories for Every Level
This year’s challenge offers three race options:
- Elite Category (AED 280) – Designed for experienced athletes targeting sub-25-minute finishes.
- Individual Category (AED 250) – Open to participants of all fitness levels.
- Team Category (AED 200 per person) – For teams of five, promoting collaboration under pressure.
- New: Spectator Tickets Now Available
For the first time, organisers have introduced AED 50 spectator tickets. Friends and family can access designated viewing areas around the course, with a complimentary hot drink included.
How to Join
Registration closes on September 12 via Premier Online. With limited spaces available, organisers recommend early sign-up to secure participation.
