The early morning hum of tyres on tarmac will soon return to Dubai as cyclists of all abilities prepare for the 16th edition of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge.

Riders will take on the sweeping roads of Expo City Dubai and the open stretches of Al Qudra Cycle Track, with the season offering a pathway to Niseko, Japan for the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Championship next August.

Last year, more than 3,300 cyclists turned the city into a peloton, creating one of the most spectacular scenes in UAE sport. In February’s main event, the top 25% in each age category will qualify for cycling’s amateur world finals.

The Road to February

The season begins with the Aster BIG 5 competition, a four-race Build-Up series at Al Qudra that tests speed, endurance, and consistency.

Category leaders will pull on the coveted series leader jersey ahead of each round, while the Team Category offers the chance to race in squads of six.
