The DP World ILT20 Schools Cup 2025 is underway across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, bringing together 39 schools in what has become the UAE’s premier platform for youth cricket.
Now in its third edition, this year marks the introduction of a dedicated girls’ competition, with nine teams competing in official leather-ball matches, a sign of growing participation among girls across the Emirates.
Pathway to Professional Cricket
The Schools Cup identifies emerging cricket talent and connects them with the professional game. As part of the DP World ILT20 development pathway, the tournament gives aspiring players a platform to demonstrate their skills in front of franchise scouts and officials.
Past champions include GEMS Modern School (2023) and Cambridge High School Abu Dhabi (2024), both of which have produced players active in domestic youth circuits.
Final Set for November 22
The 2025 edition began this week and will culminate on Saturday, November 22, at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The final will be part of the DP World ILT20 Junior Cricket Festival — a lead-in to Season 4 of the main ILT20 league, scheduled from December 2, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
Tickets for DP World ILT20 Season 4 are already on sale.
