Top-order batter Alishan Sharafu has been named captain of the UAE squad for the DP World ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, which begins in Doha, Qatar, on 14 November. The eight team tournament will bring together some of Asia’s best young cricketers, offering valuable exposure for the UAE’s emerging talent.
The 15-player squad includes several promising names who have impressed in recent international fixtures and domestic competitions. Among them are Aayan Khan, Haider Shah, and Muhammad Jawadullah, all of whom have been key performers in the national setup over the past year.
The UAE have been drawn in Group B, alongside India A, Pakistan A, and Oman. Their opening fixture will be against India A on Friday, 14 November, followed by matches against Oman on Sunday, 16 November, and Pakistan A on Tuesday, 18 November — all taking place at the West End International Cricket Stadium.
The semi-finals are scheduled for 21 November, with the final to be played on Sunday, 23 November. Group A will feature Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, and Hong Kong.
